Planning for the future and creating the legacy you wish to leave is one of the most effective ways to ensure a lasting impact. Making a gift in your will or living trust, known as a bequest, can guarantee that your legacy endures. Your gift may be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder after all other provisions are specified.

Below is suggested language to use when drafting your bequest.

Please let us know if you have included the Field Museum in your estate plans or other planned gift, as such gifts entitle you to membership in the Edward E. Ayer Society. The Edward E. Ayer Society honors those benefactors who support the strong financial future of the Museum through their estate plans or other planned gifts. Ayer Society members receive certain benefits, such as the Museum member magazine and invitations to special events.

If you have a specific use in mind for your gift, please let us know so that we are able to obtain enough information to understand precisely how you envision your gift being used at the Museum.

Please contact Bill Lynerd at 312.665.7286 or blynerd@fieldmuseum.org for more information.

Thank you for your generous support of the Field Museum of Natural History!
